I Am A Passerby In A Xuanhuan World - Chapter 1

Chapter 1 - I Joined The Transmigration Army

"...Huh...?"

Opening her eyes, she saw unfamiliar broken ceiling. Slowly turning her head, she saw dilapidated looking room, and dilapidated looking ancient furniture.

She tried to move her body, but a slight movement made her moan from pain. It felt as if her whole body had been disassembled, drained of its blood, then assembled again poorly in an attempt to fix the broken body.

A string of "Who am I? Where am I??" swam across her mind when suddenly fragments of memories flashed inside her brain.

Right. Her name is Yun Feihuang, a woman living in 21st century as a toymaker. Being an avid DIY enthusiast, she worked herself to death when she was working on the design for the new up and coming toy for her company.

Although dying from overwork is not exactly a glorious thing, but... who can explain how was she able to join the transmigration army? She was sure that except for being a foodie, she doesn't have any other amazing quality to be enlisted into the transmigration fad.

Furthermore, the body she was transmigrated into!

She doesn't know whether god was trying to play a joke on her. She transmigrated into the so called cultivation world where strength is respected and the weak is swallowed.

The common trope of this kind of world should be that the body should be a waste material that cannot cultivate and so was bullied to death before another soul took over and receives a cheat to be a peerless cultivator to the point of ascension to godhood.

Usually, the soul should be of an already overpowered professionals such as assassins, thieves, or doctors. Another type will be those wish-fulfilling mary sue or gary stu novels where justice is creating enemies for their "unconscious" behaviour of pulling a horde of harem towards them.

And she, Yun Feihuang, now has transmigrated to the so called waste material body called Huang Feiyun. But the joke is, this body really cannot cultivate.

It was not because any part of her body has a secret seal, or that her qualification is at the lowest of the bottom lowest. It's because her body has no qi and cannot absorb qi at all, nil.

In a world that respects strength first then money, she's a weak chicken whom status barely is above beggars just because she have a roof above her head and a bed underneath.

And the only reason she even received this benefit was because of her talented big brother Huang Riguang, who is an inner disciple of Mysterious Star Sect. In addition, it also was because of her status as the Crown Prince's fiancee, as the Huang clan couldn't afford the infamy of deliberately mistreating someone who's marrying a royal.

Yun Feihuang -- or now Huang Feiyun, slowly sorted out the memories floating inside her head.

Huang Feiyun was born in the glorious Huang clan as the only daughter of Marshall Huang Chenxi. According to seniority in the clan, she was the 7th young lady among her generations.

Before she was 5 years old, her life was happy and simple. She had a loving father and a gentle mother, as well as a doting brother 3 years older. But the war during a Demonic Beast Supression killed both her parents who fought in the battle.

Things were still okay for a while since she have her brother's protection, but then Huang Riguang entered a martial door and then only she was left alone in the wolf den of Huang family. Not only were the masters bullying her, even the servants of those people humiliated her.

 Thankfully, Huang Feiyun was not an idiot. She realized early on that looking poor and pitiful will make those haughty people dismiss her, and there would be no one disturbing an abandoned miss of the family.

All is well except that golden status of "Crown Prince's FianceƩ" hanging on top of her head.

For a useless miss who cannot cultivate, that status is just something that would court death for her.

It was not once or twice that she almost died from women's envy and jealousy to grab that status from her. And in the end, the real Huang Feiyun really died under the vicious hand of the Crown Prince's admirer, her own cousin Huang Yaoluo.

As Huang Feiyun reflected in her thoughts, she could feel the resentment of the dead Huang Feiyun surrounding her body. She blinked for a while, clasping and releasing her fists, trying to calm the feelings inside her body. Then, she clapped her hands in a praying manner and said;

"Huang Feiyun, I feel sorry for your death, but I'm also just a weak woman. I cannot get any revenge for you except some miniscule punishment against her. You said that you won't let Huang Yaoluo go even when you become a ghost right? Since you're not alive anymore, you can go haunt her now. Although I cannot get revenge for you, I will help you dissolve your marriage as thanks for letting me use your body. Will that be okay with you?"

The four corners of the room was silent for a while. Huang Feiyun continued holding a praying hands with tightly closed eyes. Slowly, the heavy feelings surrounding her body was lifted. She could feel the resentments floating away from her body.

At this time, the wind blew past Huang Feiyun's ears, and she felt as if she heard a faint whisper by her ear saying;

"Asking you to please tell my brother of my passing. And, Yun'er asks brother not to blame himself but to continue living for our family. Thank you, the other 'me'."

Huang Feiyun sat dazedly on the bed. Then, there were sounds of the door being opened.

A little thin girl, looking slightly older than Huang Feiyun with a maidservant clothes entered with a basin of water in her hands.

Seeing Huang Feiyun was awake, her expression was joyful only a second for she saw the expression on her mistress' face.
"Mistress, what's wrong? Why did you cry?"

The soft voice pulled Huang Feiyun back to her senses. She looked at the maidservant, and then finally realized the string of tears falling down her cheeks. Huang Feiyun quickly wiped the tears away, feeling flustered at being seen crying.

The maidservant, seeing the weirdness of her mistress, hastily went over towards the bed after putting down the basin of water.

"Mistress, what's wrong? Is anywhere on your body is hurting?" The maidservant felt weird.

Her mistress is a stubborn and prideful person. Since her parents' death, the only time the mistress cried was after Eldest Young Master left for Mysterious Star Sect to study.

But now her mistress was crying as if something important to her had left her, so forlorn and melancholic that it was hard to express the feelings in words. She hesitated for a bit, before placing a hand on Huang Feiyun's shoulder, gently patting it in hopes of giving the little girl on the bed some comfort.

Huang Feiyun dazedly looked at the maidservant, trying to think of who she was, when a name flashed past her brain.

"Ming... You..." She called.
